So heres the deal folks. As a first year student i have the opportunity to go on a ten day mission trip to Guatemala. From what i understand so far, the team that goes will be wittnessing to mainly school age children and teen through the avenue of skits, a local Bible club, a church, and open air evangilism. I will be going during my march break which would be March 16-25. I would like to ask you all for two things. Firstly and more importantly I would like you to pray for me as I venture out into this totally unkown area of ministry (for me at least lol). Prayer for my health while i am there, pray that i will be able to get all my papers together so that i can get there and pray for me to be a godly wittness while i am there. Secondly unfortunatly there will be a cost. The total cost of the trip is $1630. The school has asked me to raise $200 by november 1st, $815 by december 1st and the total amount of $1630 by January 2nd. I pray that all of you will support me wether it be through prayer or finacially or both and thank you for it now in advance. I am truly blessed to be allowed this opportunity. I will leave you with this one last thing a verse from the book of Acts. "but you will recieve power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Acts 1:8 Now i realize that Guatemala isn't the remotest part of the earth but its a start.

OCT 21, 1:45 pm

Wow its been a while since i have updated this thing.  hmm... what has happened since oct 4th.....

Well in class i have complete gensis 1-11, acts 1-12, and the book of Leviticus.  It has been a LOT of reading and quizes and tests.  On top of this i am now taking a first aid course and two other electives.  one deals with being an RA and the other is about Local Church Minisrties.

So today i am leading my ministry team in helping to run and set up Harvest Jamboree.  It is a carnival kind-of event that is all free and is for the surrounding community.

Tomorrow i have an all day lab for my first aid elective.  Learning how to wrap splint and stop bleeding as well as carring some one out of the woods on a strecher

Well that all for now.

Oct 4 9:30pm

So i got back from OAE last night.  And it was amazing!  I got to wittness to around ten people!  Over all through the entire team God saw 121 seeds planted and 8 decisions to trust God as their saviour.  I had breakfast with one of my fellow RA's and he is also my accountability partner, anyways he said some things that really got me thinking and as a resault...

So many people cry out to God and ask where is He? Well He's here and there and all around us. But most importantly He is in Heaven sitting on the mercy seat. In control of every thing. And you know what He isn't worried or anxious at all and He is in charge of the entire universe. What about us? We freak out when we don't get a good grade or are going to be late for work. Why do such small things matter to us when in scope of things, in the view of eternity, all that matters is that God is sitting on the mercy seat. Loving us. Forgiving us. Waiting to welcome us into a glorious eternity with Him.

Well its official.  I leave today around 1 pm with about 30 others to do street evangilism in New York city!  I should be getting back to school late tomorrow, hopefully before 11 pm.    I would like all of those reading this blog to pray for safety as we travel and that the hearts of those people we witness to will be open to hearing the Good News.  I miss you all and pray for you every day.  :)
